This is the website for the introductory computer science class at the High School for Language and Diplomacy. The course is run through the TEALS, a program that places high tech professionals into high school classes as part-time teachers. Please check out the course syllabus for more details on the curriculum.

We will be using a visual programming language called Scratch for this class. You can use Scrach online here, or you can download it for a Mac or PC here.
We will have weekly current event readings that will be due on Fridays.
Andy Lei works as an engineer at Addepar, a startup building data platform for finance. He loves rock climbing, puns, and cats.
Josh Shor is an engineer at Jozii, a startup that helps college students find jobs. He graduated from Pace where he majored in both math and CS. His hobbies include biking, music, and chess.
Robert Coe Works as an engineer at Yext, a tech company that works businesses with physical locations manage their online presence.
Nancy Yuca is a Chemistry teacher at the school for Language and Diplomacy.
